We’re supporting a well-established, employee-owned consulting engineering firm in Virginia that is expanding its municipal water and wastewater infrastructure team due to a strong backlog of public-sector projects across the Mid-Atlantic.

They are looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex municipal infrastructure programs, including water transmission and distribution systems, sewer collection networks, pumping stations, and related rehabilitation initiatives.

The role involves managing projects from early feasibility and engineering design through to construction documentation and delivery, while coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and maintaining strong relationships with municipal clients and regulatory agencies. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of significant infrastructure projects while also playing a role in mentoring junior engineers, supporting proposals, and contributing to the continued growth of the municipal practice.

The organization operates under a 100% employee-ownership structure and emphasizes a collaborative culture by running the business as a single unified profit center across offices. Engineers benefit from strong long-term municipal partnerships across Virginia, flexible hybrid working arrangements, and the opportunity to build equity in the firm while delivering impactful infrastructure projects within the communities they serve.
