Gareth joined Alexander Associates in 2001, specializing in technical engineering recruitment across Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, MEP Design, and Architecture. Over the following decade, he played a key role in scaling the business, delivering recruitment solutions for major UK infrastructure projects including HS1, Crossrail, Thames Tideway, and HS2. During this period, Gareth was instrumental in positioning Alexander Associates as a market leader in Digital Engineering recruitment and Building Information Modeling (BIM) talent solutions.
In 2008, Gareth was appointed to the Board as Director, where he combined leadership of key national accounts with the development of recruitment partnerships across start-ups, SMEs, and engineering consultancies. Through his consultative and strategic approach to talent acquisition, he has supported the growth of some of the industry’s fastest-growing engineering and construction firms, establishing himself as a trusted recruitment partner to both clients and candidates.
In 2016, Gareth led a successful Management Buyout (MBO) of Alexander Associates and now serves as CEO, driving business growth, recruitment strategy, and international expansion. Alongside his leadership role, Gareth provides expert talent consultancy services, advising organizations on engineering recruitment strategy, workforce planning, candidate experience, compliance, and employee retention. He is also passionate about innovation in recruitment and actively mentors emerging entrepreneurs within the engineering and technical recruitment sectors.
