We are working with a long-standing client delivering major capital works in the UK water sector. As their AMP8 programme gets underway, they’re looking to bring in a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer to help lead the design delivery across multiple water and wastewater treatment schemes (c. £400M total programme value).
If you’ve got solid water industry experience and want to play a key role in a high performing engineering team, this is well worth a conversation.
The Role
- You’ll sit within the design team and lead civil design input on a range of live and upcoming projects. That includes:
- Developing detailed design layouts that are buildable and cost effective
- Supporting proposals and bids with technical input
- Coordinating across disciplines to ensure smooth delivery
- Ensuring compliance with CDM and H&S legislation
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to design standards
What They’re Looking For
- Background in civil engineering design (structures, geotechnics, hydraulics)
- Experience in water and/or wastewater treatment
- Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015, CESWI, BS, and WIMES
- Confident producing rationalised designs and economic layouts
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
- Chartered or working toward chartership (ICE or equivalent)
- Able to communicate technical proposals clearly and effectively
- UK driving licence
