There’s a difference between managing projects and actually driving them.

We’re partnered with a highly respected engineering and consulting firm looking for a Senior Civil Project Manager to lead complex land development projects across the DC market. This role is built for someone who’s equally comfortable in front of clients, inside design reviews, and helping shape the future growth of an office.

You’ll be joining a team with strong technical depth, major project exposure, and leadership that gives experienced people room to operate.

What You’ll Be Leading

  • Managing land development projects from early planning through final delivery
  • Leading site/civil design efforts across commercial, mixed-use, institutional, residential, and industrial developments
  • Overseeing grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion control design
  • Navigating permitting and entitlement processes with local agencies
  • Working directly with clients, consultants, and internal leadership teams
  • Supporting business development efforts and helping expand client relationships
  • Mentoring junior engineers and helping drive team growth

What They’re Looking For

  • PE license required
  • 10+ years of site/civil engineering experience within land development
  • Strong project leadership background across both public and private sector work
  • Experience managing projects through design, permitting, and construction phases
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong communication and proposal-writing ability
  • Someone who can balance technical credibility with commercial awareness

The Right Fit for This Team

This opportunity suits someone who:

  • likes ownership, not micromanagement
  • can keep projects moving without creating unnecessary noise
  • understands client relationships are built long before invoices go out
  • enjoys mentoring younger engineers
  • wants to be part of a growth-focused environment without the politics

Why Engineers Tend To Stay Here

The projects are strong. The client base is established. The leadership team is invested in long-term growth rather than constant churn.

You’ll work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams on high-profile developments while still having the autonomy to lead your own work and influence direction.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Hybrid work flexibility
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Full medical, dental & vision coverage
  • Generous PTO structure
  • Professional development & licensing support
  • Wellness and mentorship programs
  • Clear long-term progression opportunities

If you’re open to hearing about a role where you can genuinely influence projects, clients, and team growth — apply directly or reach out confidentially to learn more.
